Crystalina is our May winner!

Wow, this girl has been running A LOT! Crystalina racked up an uber-impressive 1,856 points in May, securing her position on the top of the leaderboard.

In a blog post she wrote on May 5th, she says:

“I set a new friendly competition with myself:  to continuously mark 6 miles/day and achieve the maximum daily allowance. With Earndit, I have motivated myself to get out there whether I walk or run.”

Suffice it to say that Crystalina conquered that goal with flying colors.  For her accomplishment, she has been honored with the May 2010 trophy and 50 bonus points have been added to her account.  Great job!

are there more points for being faster or should we all be doing what she does and walking 6 miles a day? it seems a bit unfair to actually run daily and not be able to compete with walkers.

Hi Jeff. We originally thought about having a tiered points system where pace is a variable, but then we'd be showing bias to those that are better runners. We want to be a bit more democratic and give equal credit to the novices as the experts, especially since we want to give the average Joe more motivation to get out there and exercise. The silver lining is that by running 6 miles you're finished in a third of the time as someone walking 6 miles.
