The July leaderboard turned out to be just as exciting as June’s. There was a three-way tie between Joanne, Susan and Juliana. That’s pretty shocking! Each of them maxed out their points each day of the month. Tremendously impressive!
I’d like to take this opportunity to single out Juliana. On June 27th she wrote a post on her blog that included the following:
“Earndit has proved to be as addictive as Facebook. I log on to Earndit after every run and check out my rankings. You heard it here first, I will be the top earner on Earndit for July.“
Juliana made a promise to herself that she would log 6 miles per day, every day, to ensure that she’d be at the top of the leaderboard. Well, she kept her promise. There’s no doubt that was a difficult commitment to keep. I think I can eat chocolate every day for a month, but that’s not exactly an accomplishment.
At the end of the month, once her goal was reached, Juliana wrote a very touching blog post that I urge you to read. In her inspiring missive, Juliana speaks of the importance of keeping promises “with the most influential person in your life – You.”
Congratulations to Joanne, Susan and Juliana. The girls have certainly showed up the boys!
